Bel Drive Dental Inspires Young Smiles at Local School

Omaha, NE – February 4th and 7th, 2025 – Bel Drive Dental proudly engaged with the community this Children’s Dental Health Month by visiting St Pius X / St Leo Catholic School to promote healthy dental habits among Pre-K students. The event, held on February 4th and 7th, 2025, saw enthusiastic participation from Leslie, our Scheduling Coordinator, and Heidi, Dental Hygienist, who led an interactive session aimed at educating young minds on the importance of oral hygiene.

The main objective of the event was to teach Pre-K students fundamental dental care practices through engaging activities and informative presentations. Heidi presented a lively PowerPoint, accompanied by visual aids such as a mouth model demonstrating proper brushing techniques and educational hand-outs. Interactive demonstrations, including a flossing activity with jump ropes, kept the children actively involved and excited to learn.

“We were thrilled by the students’ enthusiasm and curiosity,” shared Heidi. “Their questions showed genuine interest in understanding dental care, from cavity treatments to the role of space maintainers.”

One memorable moment featured Heidi’s daughter, Hannah, who shared her experience with a space maintainer, emphasizing its importance in maintaining dental health. This personal touch resonated deeply with the young audience, illustrating real-life applications of dental care.
